Trace Services completed a full sports lighting upgrade for East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi. The project replaced outdated high-pressure sodium lighting on the softball, baseball, and football fields, while also adding brand-new lighting to the soccer field. The upgrade not only improved lighting levels to meet TV broadcasting standards but also reduced long-term maintenance demands.
OUR SCOPE
Our team removed all existing sports lighting poles and reused wiring where practical to generate savings. We installed 22 new sports lighting poles across four fields, coordinating everything from fixture removal and pole installation to electrical connections. To support the soccer field’s new system, Trace also added a dedicated electrical service and new circuits—ensuring reliable, broadcast-quality lighting across campus athletics.
